Self-Service Portals are where the mission owners can submit challenge ideas that meet a specific mission need and view other important information like dashboards on challenge and submission statuses.
Challenge Development
Once a challenge is submitted by a mission owner - the challenge idea goes through an approval process to determine if it is qualified, complete, and worth pursuing. Project managers also have a complete view of all engagements of the past to ensure there are no duplicate efforts. As the challenge moves through the process - the project manager can see a timeline on the right to track progress and tasks.
Innovation Entries
Industry partners can then log into the innovation hub to view open challenges and submit their pitch along with a video and white paper outlining their plan. Making the submission process easy and seamless.
Innovation Entry Scoring
Submitted challenge ideas can then be viewed by reviewers who have a 360 degree view of the submission. Submissions get placed in queues for review and scoring. Reviewers are guided through a scorecard and once scores are complete - they are weighted and averaged to determine a challenge winner.
Acquisition
When a winner is chosen - the submission can move forward to acquisition and a contract will be created. Project managers are also easily able to manage the whole project ensuring it doesn’t go over budget.

Industry partners can return to the innovation hub to manage the project alongside the agency to provide updates and view statuses.
