Gain Accountability
Automating the retirement process gives Command visibility and accountability into how service members are transitioning. Automation can enable service members to receive their retirement pay in a timely manner after separating from the service. Within the transition process, the Data for Payment of Retired Personnel form is just one of many that could be automated along with generating a roadmap that maps out the journey to civilian life.

Manage the Recruiting Process
The Salesforce Platform provides a recruiting solution that can manage the entire recruiting process and allows collaboration with all stakeholders in a single common operating environment. This provides a one-stop destination for inbound lead capture, assessment, and live web chat for both in-the-field and virtual recruiters.

Foster Collaboration
The recruiting solution provides a full mobile recruiting capability. Candidates and recruiters experience paperless collaboration through all processes, from anywhere. This improves recruiter productivity, creating more time to focus on the day-to-day activities that impact mission the most.

Get Actionable Analytics
A common operating picture replaces the manual daily dashboard process with real-time, actionable analytics, mapping, and drill down capability. Leaders can quickly review the current situation, identify shortfalls, areas for coaching, and assign important leads to the right recruiter. It's all about mission readiness and meeting targets.

Drill into Details
Service members can quickly review the events and tasks assigned to them, look at key career data points such as travel pay status, fitness test results, promotion eligibility, leave balance, awards and decorations, etc. If a particular data point needs to be investigated, it's easy to drill down into details. Automated welcome posts and tasks can be assigned so the service member can get a head start on the in-processing procedure before arriving to the new unit.

Integrate Data
Integrate any of your external data sources. Salesforce's Open APIs allow internal and external data sources. APIs allow internal and external systems or applications to interact and communicate with Salesforce. These APIs make it possible to easily configure apps on the Platform. This gives service members the ability to review their Personnel Record within the Platform to ensure all the information is correct and take corrective action when needed.

Automate In-processing
Service members transfer duty stations every two to four years throughout their careers. They are required to complete in-process upon arrival at the gaining command. In most cases, they are handed an in-processing checklist on a piece of paper and told they need to physically go to each section and check-in. From a command perspective, automating the process gives them visibility and accountability into the in-processing process. With the help of technology, service members and the command can be infused with the process to drive engagement and alignment that results in the service member becoming productive on day one.
The Checklist is broken down into four pillars: Training/Brief, Appointments, Required and Supervisor Verification.

Streamline Tasks
Use dashboards, instead of manpower, to determine promotion eligibility scores. Simple dashboards help automate tasks and expose service members to the necessary data.

Ensure Transparency
Service members receive performance evaluations throughout their career which they might not see until it is part of their official military personnel file. Salesforce offers service members data visibility, which ensures transparency regarding career progress and engagement.

Control Workflows
After the Enlisted Performance Report is initially complete, the rater can submit the report for approval. Using the approval processes, the workflow controls who is notified next to review the EPR which allows them to Approve, Recall, Reject, Reassign. Throughout the entire process all stakeholders have visibility into the status of the EPR.

Monitor Performance
Monitor overall process, statuses and more across Performance Evaluation Management. Because everything on the Platform is immediately reportable, stakeholders are able to get answers to questions that were previously very labour intensive or impossible before automation.

Submit Claims
Service members transfer to new Duty Stations every 2-4 years and are required to complete a manual travel claim. Salesforce can enable visibility into the claim throughout the submission process. This application allows the service members to enter their travel information (Itinerary, Advances, Reimbursable expenses and Dependents) while reviewing and ensuring the information is accurate before signing and submitting the claim for settlement.

Save Time
After the service member has reviewed and ensured all the information is accurate, they can select the Sign/Submit Travel Voucher which will generate the DD1351-2 form and run through the digital signature process. The automated process allows the service member to provide only the required information, letting the platform generate the required forms. By using an AppExchange partner like, Nintex Drawloop for Salesforce or Docusign, a travel voucher can be generated saving valuable time and ensuring up-to-date data for the finance office settlement.

Speed Reimbursement
The Finance Office is able to manage all incoming Travel Vouchers (Case Management) through the Travel Claim Queue. This allows the FO to take ownership of the claim and run through an additional set of automated workflows. Once the approval process completes, the service member will be reimbursed.

Ease the Transition
Across the DoD, service members transitioning to civilian life can be overwhelming and cumbersome. This journey can be automated on the Salesforce Platform and provide service members a roadmap to ensure they have transitioned successfully. Service members can quickly review the events and tasks assigned to them, look at key career data points such as travel pay status, fitness test results, promotion eligibility, leave balance, awards and decorations.
